Warranty Policy

At Britannia NYC, we aim to deliver construction work to a high professional standard. Our warranty arrangements depend on the type of work, materials used and the terms agreed in your contract.

Workmanship Guarantee

Where applicable, our workmanship guarantee covers defects resulting from poor workmanship for the period stated in your contract or quotation. This guarantee applies to our professional workmanship and does not replace any manufacturer’s warranty covering products or materials.

Manufacturer Warranties

Products and materials installed as part of your project may be covered by separate manufacturer warranties. The duration and conditions vary by product and manufacturer. Where applicable, customers should refer to the relevant manufacturer’s warranty documentation for details and claims procedures.

Insurance-Backed Warranties

Where an insurance-backed warranty cover is provided for a project, the cover, duration, exclusions and claims process will be governed by the specific policy terms. Customers will be provided with the relevant warranty documentation and provider details where applicable.

  • Fair wear and tear or normal cosmetic deterioration.
  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect or inadequate maintenance.
  • Alterations or modifications carried out after completion.
  • Damage caused by storms, flooding or other events outside our control.
  • Defects arising from customer-supplied materials or products.
  • Pre-existing defects agreed before work commenced.
  • Normal settlement or shrinkage within accepted tolerances.
  • Accidental or deliberate damage caused by third parties.

Making a Warranty Claim

If you believe there is a defect covered by your warranty, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible. You may be asked to provide your invoice or completion documentation, photographs and other relevant information. An inspection may be required before any remedial work is agreed.

Where an issue falls under a manufacturer’s or insurer’s warranty, the relevant provider’s claims procedure will apply.
